The Mysthaven Labyrinth

Winding paths can lead to wellness For centuries, labyrinths have been used to promote physical and spiritual health. Mysthaven Country Retreat & Spa in Stouffville Ontario (the country close to the city of Toronto) has a 2.7 KM labyrinth built to fit the organic shape of the hill overlooking our Wolf Lair Lake. It is a 7-11, i.e., the traditional 7 spirals with 4 loops on each end to accommodate the extra length of the land area. Its quite the workout! It is only a gentle hill but you feel it with that long a walk. The Mysthaven labyrinth is a mowed path through a perennial poly-culture of wildflowers and grasses, which attracts many birds and butterflies for your warm weather enjoyment. Usually you can clearly make out the path all winter long. This winter its pretty easy so far, since there is no snow at all and the paths are coming up green as if it is spring!
